VE.direct / Cerbo GX, what is isolated, what is not?

Hi, the manuals state that the VE.direct ports are galvanically isolated and the victron ve.direct cables are supposed to be isolated too, but are only the signal wires isolated or also the power wires? I currently have a problem with my cerbo blowing up out of nowhere (happened twice now) and I want to use an Orion 48/48 to isolate the power of the cerbo, but when I connect the smartshunt via a ve.direct cable there would be a connection between both minus and theoreteically also between the plus.

So are the + and - in the cerbo and in the cable isolated too?

Hi,

The VE.Direct ports in the Cerbo are fully isolated including power.

Same for the VE.Direct USB cable.

What were the serial numbers of the failed units?

Hi, I meant the Ve.direct to Ve.direct cable

I dont have the serial numbers anymore but the first unit was from the bunch with the power supply problem that had a capacitor added to the connector, the second unit was a new replacement for that and shouldnt have had any problems.
