Effect Cerbo shut down on Quattro

If the Quattro is connected to the grid and controlled by a Cerbo by DVCC, what happens to the Quattro when the power of the Cerbo is cut?

The context of my question is the following:

I have a Smart Lynx BMS, a Cerbo, and 3 Quattro's in 3-phase configuration. The Cerbo is fed by the AUX terminals from the Lynx BMS. If the BMS contactor opens, the AUX source will be on for 5min. After that the Cerbo will have no power anymore and will shut down. In that case, I want that AC-in 1 from the Quattro is still passed through to AC-out 1.

When there is no grid, the system is completely dead when the BMS contactor opens. If the grid is restored, will the Quattro start charging automatically even if the Cerbo is not powered up yet and the manual switch on the Quattro is also not toggled?

Many thanks!

It is called a deadlock the situation you have described. So self recovery from black start won't happen.

See the manual here. It speaks of powering the GX from AC but the principle is there. The ve bus product won't start/charge unless the GX is on and the GX won't start until power is provided.

The BMS will only close its contact when charge voltage is detected. But sometimes it does not. See the manual for steps for recovery from that.

It is always best to program the system to shut down before 0% SOC. Set the restart a little high with enough battery to restart under the expected load (inrush) when power does return. Set it up in a way to load shed so it can start up in self recovery mostly unloaded on a depleted battery.if that is what you need.

And no off is off, there is no passthrough unless you install a bypass.

Thanks Alexandra for fast reply!

Does your answer imply the following?

In a system with only a battery and a Quattro, no Cerbo. The battery is decoupled due to low SOC for example. If grid is connected to AC-in 1, nothing will happen? Quattro will not start up, no AC is passed to AC-out directly from AC-in?

It should autorecover when power is connected to AC1 input. As in the Quattros will start up and the BMS should detect charge and close the contact.

However it does not always behave as expected. The users of the system need to know how to recover the system if it does not behave as expected. I do know of one installer whose system needed the ve bus cable from the GX removed to restart the system. (But it was a different battery)

Ok, so when the system should recover without Cerbo and not with Cerbo it means that there is some kind of mode where the Quattro knows there is a Cerbo and when the Cerbo is cut the Quattro will shut down?
