Generator high voltage and backfeeding

Hi all,

for some time we have been having problems on site now with a off-grid system 3x 15 kVA quattro and a generator as back-up. As seen in the 90 days overview the onput voltage sometimes jumps up to 300 V and there is even a backfeeding into the generator at some times. The input current limit is set to 20A but the inverters sometimes pull up to 70A which is causing the Gen to shutdown. This is happening in all three phases.

Do you think this is a problem with the system/inverters? Or rather a broken cable (neutral touching live or something like that)

Looking forward to any help in this case.

Best regards,

Justus

@Justus

Or a floating neural from the generator.

Not so much a neutral touching live as a loss of neutral.

If that is not stable then nothing else will be since it is a neutral reference system.
