Orion-tr 48v to 24v charging

Hi all looking for some advice please

I am trying to charge a 24v AGM battery from my 48v AGM battery system

The only thing I've found that might be suitable is the Orion-TR 48V/24v

My concern is, they don't sell the 'smart' model in 48v , is the standard TR model suitable for charging AGM batteries?

Thank you

If that doesn't work, would it be possible to use a Orion smart 24/24 fed by a 48v-24v converter

I understand there'd probably be some losses , but surely better than my other option , using an AC/DC 24v battery charger off my 48v inverter

Hi @TheSamMan

They don't have all the frills of the Smart models, but can be used as a charger. Only wtth a single set V though, like a vehicle alternator might do. Target voltage set with a tiny screwdriver through a hole in the casing.

I've a 48/12 I switch in automatically during solar hours using it's remote port, and I'm very pleased with it as a charger. It doesn't provide any info, but I've external kit to do that.
