Can cerbo GX connect to auxiliary digital inputs

I'd like to use the Cerbo GX for monitoring, amongst others, the bilge alarms. But as we have 6 bilge alarm switches already the 4 inputs of the Cerbo is not enough. Is there a way to connect a standard (like modbus or NMEA/CAN) external module with more inputs that the Cerbo can use?

Or is there an extension like the GX tan 140 but for inputs (planned)

Could someone answer this question please? I also interested in using the digital inputs for my door alarms but I need 8I/O. Do we have any I/O extension that Cerbo GX can use?

if you have 4 inputs and more than 4 signals you could code the signals in a binary code. The 4 inputs (4 bits ) available can provide the status for 16 different states.

0= 0000, 1= 0001, 2=0010, 3= 0011, 4=0100, 5=0101, 6=0110

And so on.
