EasySolar II-GX max power... (48/3000/35)

So commissioned a new system a few days ago, it’s standalone with 4x200ah “cranker” batteries. Has ESS and 4kw of panels ..

Ran a “grid fail” test with a load of 2376w (as according to the console) and it went straight to overload and shut down the ac out for long enough to reset every computer. This didn’t happen at 2100w(ish)...

Ambient temp was 21C and batteries >90% charged.

Thought these units are supposed to handle 3000W for a short time and 2400W continuous at 25C?

Thoughts?

As Paul B said 3000VA and not W and the specification sheet clearly shows 2400W. However since the system was running at full power the system temperature would rise and output reduced as well. Hope it helps.

You have said you have 4 x 200a/h batteries connected, but how good are these at supplying the power required.

Then check the voltage when you have the loads on the inverter and again check directly at the batteries plus and minus, they should be very close to the same voltage.

Then you would need to check the battery voltage and the AMPS at that load level, you are indicating, because.

as the volts drop the amps draw goes up and the amps is whats cause the issues (in most cases)

ie at a load of 3000va at 48 volts the amps would be 65 amps

at 40 volts the amps would be 75a and so on.

This means that if you did draw 75 amps when the battery was at 48 volts this would mean 3600Va

another thing to consider is that 3000va is usually NOT 3000 Watts in most cases and very ruffly

3000VA is about equal to 2500Watts this all depends on a thing called Power Factor and that depends on the type of appliance you are using but as you are running computers there power factor can be very bad,

Anyway just some things to test and look into
