AC Input Control: SOC vs. battery voltage

I'm using the AC Input Control feature on my Multiplus 24|800|16. Currently I've got it set up as follows:

Through trial and error I've empirically worked out that at 25.35V (OK, between 25.3 and 25.4V at 0.2 to 0.3C) the SOC is about 30% on this battery. Currently the charger kicks in at this voltage; the 30% SOC setting doesn't seem to do much.(Yes, I know: the AC disconnect at 27.0V does not charge the battery fully.)

My questions:

1. How does the Multiplus work out the SOC percentage? By voltage, or by integrating the inverter output over time?

2. How do these two settings interact, if at all, when they're both enabled? Is it just which one occurs first that triggers the AC connection? Or does one of these always override the other?
