Connection between Cerbo GX and Windows PC (VRM) without Rj45 / router

I only have phone with 4G internet. I'm using Android USB tethering to share the internet to Windows laptop. So I don't have any router or RJ45 connections. How can I connect Cerbo GX to this laptop and VRM portal for programming Multiplus II? I would like to be able to do all kind of stuff such as setting charging wattage and programming timers.

It needs either a wifi connection, you can use a hotspot, but this isn’t going to be very reliable. Or it needs a wired connection.

Not much other choice.

Perhaps rather buy a mk3 usb adapter.

So how unreliable wifi connection is? Is using it for updating firmware a risk?

There are failsafes. If you read the process it has an faq for internet being lost. Personally I would get a mk3. If something goes really wrong, that is the only way to recover.
