Quattro 10000VA inverter not using the batteries at full

Heya,

I have a system with 12 x Pylontech US3000C batteries and a inverter Victron Quattro 48/10000/140-100/100 230V VE.Bus. The problem is when the house load hits 12kWh instead of using the sun + batteries the inverter is pulling from the grid to compensate what it doesn't get from the sun.

Yesterday the pannels were producing 7kWh but the house load was 12kWh instead of getting the rest of 5kWh from the battery bank it was pulling only 2kWh from the battery and the rest from the grid. How can I avoid this in the future?

Is the solar connected to the AC or the DC side of the System?

A 10kVA inverter will produce 8kW, that is all it can invert, you hit that limit.

The balance has to come via passthrough from grid up to the maximum rating of the transfer switch which is 100A.

If you're expecting 12kW from the inverter, you should have ordered the 15kVA.
