Dashboard summary - volts times amps does not equal watts?

MyDash9-17-22.jpgIn the attached screenshot of a VRM of our dual Quattro 120/240 split-phase system. At the bottom left is what appears to be a summary. It lists 51.34V and -186.6A. If you multiply V x A you get -9580.04 -- yet to the right of these two numbers it says -8468W. What am I missing here? Shouldn't it say -9580? Is this behavior normal?

If it’s AC watts it could be computing real power , or VxI cosine φ where φ is the phase angle. This means you have non resistive AC loads present, apparent power is in VA units

In short the power factor of your loads is 88%. So pretty decent. Most times we calculate for house loads around 80%
