Can SmartSolar MPPT RS 450|100 & Inverter RS Smart Solar 48/6000 operate on the same VE.CAN Network?

We want to add a SmartSolar MPPT RS 450|100 to an existing very early model Inverter RS Smart Solar 48/6000 and naturally use the same VE.CAN Network. Can this be done?

VE.Can is VE.Can, all VE.Can devices can be daisy chained

You only have the Inverter RS Smart Solar 48/6000?
If so, you can connect them together but there will be no data transmission between them.
They have to be connected to a GX device.
