I have four Jackery SolarSaga 100w 18v solar panels. I have four AGM batteries I would like to charge with these solar panels. Is this possible using using one of the VE SmartSolar MPPT chargers? If yes which one(s) would work best?
These solar panels have 8mm/small pin output connectors. How would I wire up the SolarSaga 100s to the a VE SmartSolar MPPT charger without splicing the panel output wiring/connectors?
Victron have an online calculator for selecting the right solar controller.
You can download the manuals and datasheets for the controllers. These show the connections. Effectively on the controller you have two options. MC4 solar connectors or plain wire, which should be in ferrules for mobile use.
You'll have to decide whether to string the panels in series or parallel. And also what voltage your DC system is going to be.
