VE Configure will NOT auto connect to Multiplus 12/3000/120

I need to program my Multiplus 12/3000/120 (2702430 on microchip) for a pair of 300ah Lithiums but I can not get VE Configure (via MK3) to Autodetect unit. The Multiplus seems to be working as both an inverter and charger but I'm shutting it down until I can get it programed properly. This is a new install using a Victron SmartSolar Controller 100/50 and BVM-712. Is there a guide to follow for troubleshooting this issue?

You will need to make sure the MK3s USB driver is installed

https://www.victronenergy.com/support-and-downloads/software#ve-configuration-tools-for-ve-bus-products

then you should be able to see the com port thats used for the MK3
