Error loading file #7 in VictronConnect

Hi developers

@Guy Stewart (Victron Community Manager) , @Thiemo van Engelen (Victron Energy staff)

Something else to report....

1. Open VictronConnect, select device (Multi RS Solar in my case) and go to Settings

2. Perform some modifications

3. Save config under a chosen name.

4. Loading from settings is OK, but instead

5. Exit Settings, exit device and now you are on the Device list page, so no device opened yet

6. Go to app main menu on upper left (three horizontal lines)

7. Go to Setting Files Manager

8. Click on the file you just saved on (3) - error loading file #7

9. The same if you click on three dots on the desired file and click open

Hi @Alex Pescaru,

I believe this issue is contained to when running beta firmware versions. I will confirm the VictronConnect team see the report, but unless you can reproduce it when running release firmware, it might have to be accepted as a limitation.

Hi @Guy Stewart (Victron Community Manager)

Tested this with the new 1.16 release firmware.

The same #7 error with the release firmware.

In this case it's the same sort of situation where the 1.16 firmware is newer than the firmware that is supplied with VictronConnect.


VictronConnect will get an update shortly that includes 1.16 and this will resolve itself.

Also tested with the recent 5.104 version of VictronConnect, which I believe should include the Multi RS 1.16 firmware and still the same #7 error...
