6.1.5. Battery very low terminal voltage Smart Battery LiPO4

Hello I'm trying to recover a 200Ah LiPO4 battery from a 0,5V deep discharge.

Do you know which Victron battery charge is eligible to get the job done?

In detail:

Point 3 of the manual say "Once the voltage of the lowest cell has increased above 2.5V, increase the charge current to 0.1C. For a 100Ah battery, this is a charge current of 10A."

Point 11 of the manual say "Once the battery has reached 13.8V (27.6V), increase the charge voltage to 14.2V (28.4V) and increase the charge current to 0.5C. For a 100Ah battery, this is a charge current of 50A."

Thank you for your time

(pretty much) all Victron battery chargers will charge a fully discharged battery. It is recommended to use a battery charger that is BMS controlled.

That said, the manual has a procedure to (initially) charge a battery without BMS control.

Follow the instructions, and heed all warnings. The battery can not be left without constant monitoring.

At best one (or more) cell will have damage, giving a lower than rated battery Ah capacity/cycle life.

At worst >insert bad things here<.

Proceed with utmost caution.
