Victron Multiplus 24/1200/25-16 doesn't recognize generator

Hello all! We are facing the issue below: we own a Inverter Victron Multiplus 24/1200/25-16 and we want to connect a (manually starting) generator Champion Dual Fuel 7500 E2 DF, but it seems that the Inverter doesn't recognize the Generator in its Input. Thus, when we start the generator it doesn't give any power to the house, only to the batteries. Do you know how we can fix this?

P.s.: do we have to do anything to VE Config regarding the Grid parameters? Is it possible the incoming from the generator power is out of Frequency or the voltage out of limits? just some thoughts.

Thank you all!

Hi,

how is it possible to get "power to the batteries"without switching over to the generator? Do you have an extra charger installed?

And yes, it's always good to check all settings and adapt them if needed through VEconnect. Did you buy the inverter second hand?

Just had the same thing happen to me, do you have a way to check the voltage/hz coming in from the generator?

Disconnected 153v/70hz

Connected 134v/62hz

Mine would disconnect with voltages above 140 or frequency above 62 I believe. There are settings in VE configure to allow wider ranges. The manual also mentions the weak AC and dynamic current options if your generator has fluctuating voltages.
