1 service bank and 1 starter battery, which charger?

Hi guys, I have a boat with one service bank (2x95ah batteries) and one starter battery (95ah). I want to install the Phoenix Smart charger, should I go for the 3 output 30 amp model or the 1+1 output 30 amp model and why?

Thanks!

Are these batteries all the same chemistries, or is there a mix?

Hi @Spyros Damigos, obviously both would work. The benefit of the three output model is that you can see how much current is being drawn by the different batteries. This can be helpful for troubleshooting. The benefit of the 1+1 is that it is a little less expensive. The downside of the 1+1 is that you can only see the current on the main output and the starter battery is limited to a six amp charge - in reality this is probably not a concern as the starter battery discharge is low and is typically recharged by the alternator in minimal time.
