LFP battery placement

Hi,

Because of the physical space for batteries, may I lie down LFP Smart 25,6/200 batteries. I will cool down the tight space and also prevent any incorrect contacts.

The dimensions of battery in upright position is (H x W x D) 317x631x208, my suggestion is 208 x 631 x 317.

And if yes or not, could you explain it why?

thanks in advanced.

As far as I know the cell manufacturers all say 'dont do it' because of stress internally where the poles are connected to all the (very thin) anodes / cathodes.

I also know some people do use them 'laying down' and don't report problems...but who knows what happens in 4-5-6 years. That's why you shouldn't do it, especially in a vehicle that endures vibrations.

picture of the inside of a typical LFP cell, the anodes/cathodes are very thin copper / aluminium foil
