Victron quatro multiplus 48/5000/70 stoped charging

We were on a field visit to diagnose system failers on 12 solar power systems with the following victron systems. 5he installation is AC coupled system that uses Frunius Primo string invrrter, Quatro Multiplus 48/5000/70 inverter charger with CC GX and BMV. The system functioned for a year after installation and stoped. When we measure the total voltage 9n the battery output terminal, we read 6 volts and .1, .2, .8", etc. There is no generator or a DC mppt charging devic3 to rehabilitate the batteries. These systems stopped functioning 8 months before. How can we charge the batteries? Should we change the batteries or recharge them? Kindly help us on how to repair and what should be done for sustainability.

Thanks

@Yilma Firde It all depends on the batteries you are using and what caused them to fail. Are they lead based? Has the electrolyte dried up? (Possible overcharging or lack of maintenance). Are they part of a larger array and are in the middle? Possibly a current sharing or wiring issue? Also undercharging related.

So a bit more information on the batteries would be helpful. Like what are they? What size is the bank? What is their DOD and do they get charged up to 100% everyday?

You should have a DC system connected as if the grid fails and the batteries go flat the victron inverter will turn off, this will cause the ac inverter to turn off and the system will be in deadlock. A dc system will provide enough charge to the batteries to allow the inverter to auto turn back on and provide a grid for the ac inverter to turn on to charge from the ac couple solar
