DC Power Missing on VRM Portal when using External Grid Meter.

Here is an interesting question for the VRM Portal guys. When I set my ESS to use my External CG Grid Meter and have 'Have DC' selected, then the DC Power icon is not displayed. Neither on VRM Portal nor on the Remote Console of my GX.

I understand the Remote Console (GX) space might be a limitation but the VRM Portal has no such limitation. See below:

With CG External Grid meter selected under ESS.

And when I select Inverter/Charger as the Grid Meter in the ESS setting. Here you can see the DC Power being displayed on both.

Why would DC Power not display on the VRM Portal when using an external CG Grid Meter?

Have you noticed there is also a larger PV charger tile with the MPPT graphically displayed on the GUI, if you disable the energy meter in ESS?

This is not just a matter of space though. You can disable inverter AC output in use for removing critical loads tile and still have the smaller PV charger tile and no DC power tile.

It would be very useful to monitor DC loads with external grid meter, I'm using DC-DC for TVs and Laptops to remove the DC-AC-DC conversion for my ESS with external grid meter and it would be extremely useful to see this load in one place.

Hi @Ingo,

I've seen this question and will see what we can do and whether is possible with the current logged data set. Can't promise anything yet, but I'm aware of it

Hi , is there any fix for this issue . Have the same problem , Have a multiplus 2 , grid meter in a grid tied setup . In addition have a victron TITAN 48V charger to speed up the recharge of batteries at night. VRM or console doesn't display power input from Titan."Has DC" is enabled.

Hey, I have the same problem. I have connected AC/DC charger (powered by generator) through smartshunt to battery and would like to see power when it is running. It seems that if DC Power is not visible in remote console it is not visible in VRM also. But in remote console if you swipe to right then with these tiles screen, DC Power is visible.

Screen shot when "external meter" is used as grid:

Screen shot when "multi" is used as grid (why critical loads output is named as AC Loads here):

Right now I have configured grid meter to multiplus as I have no consumers between grid meter and multiplus input.

But actually I would like to see my extra smartshunt info in VRM at bottom where there is this empty box next to multiplus information.
