SmartShunt without power

Hi,


Quick question: I wired the SmartShunt at the negative terminal of my battery, and the little power connector to the positive terminal of my battery.


If I remove the power connection for the SmartShunt, will it still allow current to pass through and can I still use my battery as usual, just without any monitoring from the Shunt?

Of course you can sill use you battery.
For the current flow the shunt isn't a switch or so it is "just" a piece of metal.
