Unexpected relay behaviour - Multiplus 48/500 controlling generator switching on/off at minimum run duration

Hi, very confused, appreciate any views...

have a Multipus 48/5000 configured to close relay to start generator at defined SOC. Which it does.

However rather than running until SOC condition met, it runs for the configured "Minimum Run Time", stops, then 2 or 3 minutes later starts again...and so on until the SOC condition is met.

Maybe I have misunderstood, but I expected the "Minimum Run Time" to set a lower run limit in case the condition which initiated the start was resolved faster? Not to turn off the relay after that time, then re-assess all the conditions again?

how does the Multiplus know the SOC?
can you explain more about your system?

Hi, sure, of course..

6KW of PV connected via 2 x MPPT 150/70 to a 19.2KW energy store (8 x Victron 200Ah "Telco" batteries.) Multiplus 48/5000. CCGX. A BMV702 was supposed to have been installed, but it doesnt seem to have been (I have picked up support of this system from someone else). Hyundai 6000 generator with autostart. SOC sourced from the Multiplus.

Generator autostart on SOC/AC load/overload enabled. In current poor solar conditions, it starts correctly on the "low SOC condition". But as per original post, rather than the Multiplus Relay staying closed until SOC "High" condition reached, it opens every "Minimum Run Time" Period.

It is almost like the "Minimum Run Time" setting is acting as a "Maximum Run Time" and it stops after that whatever (and only tests SOC after it stops).
