ve.connect vs victron connect - are they the same thing?

Sorry for this simple question but the names of things are important. On the Victron webpages and in various documentation I keep seeing references to VE.Connect and Victron Connect. Are they effectively the same thing?

VE.Connect is not any official Victron thing, so if you see a reference to it please let me know and I can fix them up. It should be something else.

It most likely refers to VictronConnect, but without seeing the context, it's hard to say 100%, for sure, in all cases.

VE stands for Victron Energy, so it's a very easy (unofficial) abbreviation to make. But you shouldn't see it in any official Victron documentation.

The confusion might be with VE.Configure rather than VE.Connect (which doesn't exist).

Thanks for this explanation Guy. I'll pass on observed instances of 'VE.Connect' in official Victron docs.
