How much Wp from solar panels can I use in the MP II?

I am planning to install 18 panels of 450Wp (Voc 49,7V Isc 11,32A), 9 connected to each MPPT 250/100 with 3S3P giving me these values: 149,1V 33,96A.

I was reading the datasheet for the MP II48/5000/70-50 https://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/Datasheet-MultiPlus-II-inverter-charger-EN.pdf and it says maximum 50A for Maximum AC input current.

I am not sure if I could use this MPII using 2 MPPT's at that Amps. Can anyone give me a hint on this issue? Thank you

Up to 8 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 190.8 MiB each and 286.6 MiB total.

@tpwchr

The 50A refers to AC charging or mains charging. Mppts are dc chargers so there is not really a limit.

In a good ess system the mppts will assist with loads as well as charge the battery from solar.

So it sounds like you have a good balance for charging and running heavy loads.

Alright, it is meant to be used in an off-grid system, but im glad its a good balance. thanks!

Have you played with the online mppt calculator?

https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.victronenergy.com/mppt-calculator&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwjVlv__sJbsAhW7ShUIHRAxAh8QFjAAegQIDRAB&usg=AOvVaw3KnrgQeacGZAZ-82ePnoq-

You can check your yeilds over the year and see where you may be using your back up generator the most during the year by setting your location as well.

Hi. Yes I have checked that and it recommends me 250/70. Although i'm not really sure if it's a good idea because 3S3P gives me 149,1V 33,96A and the 250/70 has a Max. PV short circuit current of 35A, a bit short. So my plan is to buy either the 250/85 or the /100 because goes up to 70A.
