BMV vs. BMS for Loads

If I use a BMV 712 to cut loads to my lithium batts via a batteryprotect, do I still need the BMS involved for loads as well? Ideally, I want to cut my non-critical loads around 30% SOC but want to make sure that my batts are still protected from other issues. Can't quite find how do that.

Using a BMV does not protect your battery fully. With a Lithium Phosphate battery you need to control EACH cells voltage, SO at the cell level if any cell goes below 2.5 volts then the loads should be disconnected or higher than 3.7 volts then the charging should be disconnected. (these figures will depend on manufacturers specs

the VE BMS does this it stops the Quattro/Multiplus from charging if any cell goes high or turns the inverter off if any cell goes low.
