Help me solve my CAN network fault

Hi all

Our victron equipment is connected by a CAN bus as shown in this picture.

BMS (1/2) is faulty and we are waiting for a replacement unit. I believe that the faulty BMS (1/2) is a “dead node” in our network and is causing this error message:

The error message is preventing us from charging through the second BMS (2/2).

As a temporary fix I want to disconnect the faulty BMS and Skylla 1 and 2 which serve it, from the network so we are left with this:

1. Am I correct in believing that the faulty BMS is causing the error message from the Skylla?

2. Can I reconfigure the CAN network as shown in the sketch?

Look forward to your answers.

Best

Sam

Hi Sam, a system with two batteries and BMS-es is not very common. And not easy to help on with a few back and forth emails.

As no-one here on community seems to be able to help you; I recommend to discuss this through the official channels (via the dealer). See also here:

I hope its sorted soon, or better, already sorted a while ago.
