VE.Bus BMS: max. number of batteries

Hello,

I try to figure out how many parallel batteries a VE.Bus BMS can handle in a 12V system?

I found this in VE.Bus BMS datasheet:

Up to five batteries can be paralleled and up to four batteries can be series connected (BTVs are simply daisy-chained) so that a 48V battery bank of up to 1500Ah can be assembled.

Does the "Up to five batteries can be paralleled" also applies to a 12V system or is there another limit?

Thanks!

Hi Fabian, yes the limit of five also applies to parallel connected when at 12V.

Why not go for higher voltage for large banks?
