Drive Relay when Quatro in Inverter mode

Is it possible to toggle relays on and off only when Quatro is in inverter mode only.

for example toggle relay off during time delay in switching between AC IN-1 and AC IN-2

Kind Regards

Ben :)

Not exactly sure what you want to achieve but it should be possible with the "programmable relay" assistant.

Just download, install and start VE.config (VE Configuration tools for VE.Bus Products).
Then click on "Port selection" -> "Fake target with full options" -> select what you need -> OK -> Assistants -> read -> "Do this for me" -> Add assistant -> Relay -> programmable relay -> Start assistant .
There you can see what options you have.
Note that you need one assistant to activate the relay and one to deactivate it.

Hi, thanks for your response and have found assistant "programable relay" in VE.config.

I think it is not possible to achieve what I am trying too do, though the hive mind of the Victron Community is truly great. :)

Have attempted to elaborate on what would like to achieve bellow.

The programable Relay is triggerable from AC IN 1 &2 but not from Inverter only, will call this (AC in 3).

The inverter is activated as it transfers from each of the Inputs and also if the inputs fail to be steady. Victron currently only uses 2 outputs. Using the programable relay could allow for a 3rd output via an external contactor, but it is undesirable to place these loads on AC in-3 (inverter only). This is similar to the current operation of AC out-2.

An option within "Programable Relay Assistants" to Select AC in 3 as a "switch condition" would be useful?

On a fully off grid systems splitting the outputs into three categories expands functionality:

Critical loads- Output 1- fed from AC1,2,3 ( loads from any input source and inverter)

Essential- Output 2- fed from AC 2 (loads from only input 2 and disconnects on Inviter)

Non Essential option-? disconnected by "Programable Relay" AC in 3, (similar to AC out-2)

for high loads that are on in the day or when more than one input is available and would not be wanted to burden battery bank with these loads similarly to output AC out-2.

Example of programable relay summary, only AC1 and AC2 are selectable. AC3 would be really nice!

Wishing you well

Ben

What you call AC IN 3 = AC OUT 1.
As long as the inverter is running you have power at AC OUT 1.

Critical loads - this is the default behavior of AC OUT 1

Essential:

Not sure what you want at "Non Essential".

If you don't have any other assistants installed and an input is available the power for the loads is taken directly from the input (up to the input current limit).
