How do you change the float voltage on an EasyPlus Compact?

Hello

The default float voltage on my EasyPlus Compact (12 volt, 1600 watts, 70 amp) is 13.8. This is too high for my LifeLine AGM batteries which require a float of 13.4 volts.

The float voltage can't be changed using the dip switches and the VE Configuration tools for VE.Bus Products software download that is available on the victronenergy.com web site only runs on Windows and I have a Mac.

Given the above, how do I change the float voltage?

Thank you

Allan Fraser

Thanks Kai.

I've read that series of posts but it's all techno-babble to me. It seems to suggest that I need something (Parallels or wine?) that will allow me to run Windows (which I also need to get) on my Mac plus VE.configure and some specialist cabling.

Surely this can't be right for something as simple as changing a voltage setting?

Good evening Daniël.

I have Victron Connect and use it to monitor my SmartSolar MPPT 100/30s - it is very good, excellent in fact.

However, my EasyPlus doesn't show up on the Victron Connect Device List and EasyPlus doesn't get a mention in the list of compatible products in the Victron Connect documentation in your link.

Assuming that I'm misunderstanding and that the EasyPlus is compatible with Victron Connect, can you please explain what I need to do to get the EasyPlus to show up on the Device List?

Thank you

Allan

Hi @Allan Fraser

You do need an MK3-usb cable, as you also need with Victron Connect

Thanks again Daniël.

The latest EasyPlus manual is dated 11 August 2016. It doesn't mention configuring using Victron Connect. Is that simply because Victron Connect is a later product?

Hello again

I now have a MK3-USB cable and have used VictronConnect on my MacBook to view what's going on in my EasyPlus charger / converter.

However, in order to change the float voltage I need two things.

1. I need to update the firmware from v413 to v415.

2. I need the device's password to enable settings.

Can you help with either of these?

Thank you

Allan

@Allan Fraser I've just sent you an email with the password, as I believe posting it on an open forum is somewhat discouraged.

Cheers!
