Generator wont charge my batteries wired to my victron easy solar

I had a 6kw generator that I used to charge my batteries through my easy solar and had no problems at all, then the generator broke down so not having much spare cash I purchased a 1.1kw generator wired it up and it started to charge but the generator wasn't able to provide enough power so it cut out, then after saving up I bought a new 5.5kw generator wired it up and my easy solar tried to charge but nothing happened can someone advise me please

The likely reason is that the AC power your new generator is providing is considered as 'dirty' (unacceptable) according to the Multiplus and being rejected.

The good news is that there are a number of settings that can be changed to relax the acceptance thresholds and still use the 'unideal' power provided by the generator.

Refer to the 'Multiplus Generator FAQ' document;

Note that these settings are formally intended to be configured by a dealer or installer, but if your keen/confident you can purchase a MK3 to USB cable and do it yourself.

You also need to download and use VE.Configure to alter the settings via a laptop.

OR you can now do most of it with VictronConnect using an Android mobile with an additional adapter cable.
