Is it possible to have 2 Ve.Bus BMS's on one Bus?

I'm considering changing from AGM to Lithium batteries for my house system. I would like to use a number of 12V batteries in parallel. Available space will allow for 8 of the new LFP-Smart 12,8/200-a batteries. However, the BMS literature indicates it is limited to 5 batteries in parallel. I have two 110V Muiltiplus 3000 units aboard, limited to charging at 12V, so would prefer not to do a series/parallel install with higher voltage to meet the BMS limitations. Any ideas?

Hi,

Thats a big system!

No sorry, you cant have two VE.Bus BMS-es on one VE.Bus.

Those batteries are quite the investment, and 24V is really better: have you considered selling those other two on the second hand market? I would assume that in total the added cost of renewing those inverters doesn’t make that big of a change. (But havent done any calculations).
