VE.Bus Smart dongle connection

Can VE.Bus Smart dongle be connected to GCCX VE.Bus or it must be connection to one of the Multi's VE.Bus. If VE.Bus is really a bus, it should not matter, right?

Correct, VE.Bus is a bus and the Smart Dongle can be used with anything (or nothing) on the VE.Bus.

A customer wanted dedicated volt sensing on a remote site with a VGX they use for tank monitoring,I tried the Ve bus smart dongle for this to no avail
