Phoenix inverter 24/3000 stopped working

Hi, my inverter was working fine but the batteries were a bit low due to building work I am doing so I connected by battery charger to boost the batteries. On checking the battery charge was throwing out 36 volts and around 7 amps. All the lights on the inverter went out and now it wont turn on. What have I done and how can I fix it? Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi @Davidatno5

Did you use an external battery charger that reached this voltage? if 24volt batteries are at 36 volts, they are pretty much toast (and have a high risk of exploading!)

I'd try connecting a pair of good batteries to your inverter to see if it still works after the over-voltage event. Maybe it survived it.
