Grid assist while not in ESS mode

I have the MultiPlus-II 10000kva inverter, and I'm planning to use it off grid, (so the grid contactor is in the off state unless charging if the batteries go too low) is there a way of turning the grid input contactor on in order to help the multiplus if I'm drawing close to it's limits? Sort of like a generator switching in to asdist the multiplus?

I don't want the ESS mode as I want to be off grid.

I think you can use ESS but turn on AC ignore, that should do what you want, run from battery, but grid support / charging when needed
