I want to connect my phoenix compac 12/1600 to a simple light switch the wires are already there because I used them in a previous inverter.
I have drie inputs on the board. How should I connect it?
Want to turn it on or off.

If i remember correctly the connections for remote switch: Short left and middle terminal to switch the Multi “on”, Short right and middle terminal to switch the Multi to “charger only”.

Do I have to change something in the DIP switches? See screenshots of the manual: For the 3-way switch I have to, but… is this a 3-way switch?

So it has been too long to remember all the steps...
Yes set the dips. Is the unit new or second hand?
Yes use a 3 way switch
Center contact or p contact of switch to connection 2 (gnd)
First Contact from switch to connection 1 (charger only)
Second Contact from switch to connection 3 (on)
But I only have two wires from the switch. It’s a regular light switch which is installed behind walls. Not easy to change. Is it possible with this?
Ok, you said you have a 3 way too… then follow klim8sceptic advice
@Pierreke If your Phoenix is an inverter (not an inverter + charger) you only need a switch with 2 contacts.
Connect to on, remote terminals 2 and 3.
Dont forget to set your dipswitch.
