As far as I can see (from other posts in this forum) it is possible to charge a car battery from a lifepo4 solar setup that is installed in my van.
I would like a fire-and-forget setup so I can install it once and not think about it again.
If I connect a Victron Orion-Tr Smart 12/12-30A from the lifepo4 battery bank to the lead acid car battery do I need to make sure to disconnect is while the engine is on?
I'm not an expert but I could imagine that power spikes from the alternator could backfeed into the solar setup and destroy something.
