Which mega fuse is referred to?

Regarding philiplyra's post of May 30, 2022 (link below) concerning the BMS 12/200 which indicates the regulator sense wire needs to be connected to the "input of the fuse, not the battery directly";

1. Which fuse is this referring to, the left hand (Alternator/Starter Batt) or right hand (System) fuse on the BMS?

2. Which post of the fuse, left or right?

3. Where did that information come from?

1. The left hand (Alternator/Starter Batt) fuse.

2. The left hand post.

3. In philiplyra's post it came from experience. However, if you know how the device works then it can be deduced. The BMS has a current limiting circuit inside which creates a voltage drop, which increases the input voltage to make the alternator reduce its output current. If your alternator has an external regulator wire and you put it on the battery, the alternator regulator will keep bpushing up the alternator discharge voltage to compensate for the voltage drop in the BMS.
