Calculate shunt size

About to build 4 x 320ah lifepo4 batteries 12v each. ( for all sorts of reasons I can't go 48v) I have 2 x 3000W Victron Multiplus, each one stands alone. If each inverter was working at peak then my total amp draw from my batteries would be 3000/.93/12x2 = 538amps.

If my calcs are correct that would suggest I should get a 1000amp smart shunt, yes?

Victron has a 500A, 1000A, and a 2000A shunt. If you're expecting higher currents than 500A, not exeeding the 1000A, then indeed a 1000A shunt will do the job.

By choosing a bigger Victron shunt you do not compromise on accuracy, you can simply monitor higher currents.
