Smart shunt to 72 display via VE direct cable

Hi, my 712 shunt has issues. I could only buy a smart shunt where I am to replace it. Can I connect the 712 display to smart shunt via VE direct cable?

No, it's not designed for that.
The VE.direct port is for connecting the SmartShunt or BMV to a GX device.
