I was wondering can i use the smart shunt as a stand alone unit? i purchased the 500a smart shiny i can see all voltage and etc. but when i go into my setting to input the battery information i get this message with nothing i can select below. anyone run into this before?

Please make sure that you are using VictronConnect version v5.99. We have found an issue with the "First use setup" in v5.98, and this is solved in v5.99.

Do you have the latest firmware installed?
firmware was up to date but app was on v.98 once updated i was able to make the changes. thank you for the quick responses i really appreciate it
