Will a multiplus not charge from AC if below DC cut-off?

  • MP 24V/3kVA 120VAC
  • LFP batteries.
  • CCGX
  • No BMS comms.
  • No assistants.
  • No virtual switch.
  • No "Ignore AC" conditions.

Only change to inverter from defaults is to raise DC cut-off to 22V.

It appears that when DC cut-off is achieved, the unit will not charge from generator when manually applied to AC input..

Is this normal behavior?

@snoobler

No.

The inverter should be shut down and then on AC connect restart and then if it can (input current limit etc allowing) charge the batteries.

Okay. so...

  1. Power off.
  2. Generator fired up and connected to AC input.
  3. Inverter in ON or charger-only mode

That should allow AC charging to commence.
