BMW 700 connection

Hello,

i have a BMW 700 connected to a CGX device via USB to VE direct cable.

1. can i connect BMW to a USB hub via USB cable and after this USB hub to CGX via an USB cable?

2. in the same time i need to access data from USB hub with an another USB cable connected to a raspberry Pi.

3. please, let me know if i need to galvanic separate all those device between them.

Hi,

1.) yes, if it is a powered, compatible USB hub you can do that. Note, that not all available hubs work stable.

2.) This does not work, because of the USB protocol, you cannot connect devices to 2 hosts.

3.) doesn't matter, it does not work
