Over the recommended battery capacity with Multiplus-II

I have the Multiplus-II 48/3000/35 and the recommended battery capacity range is 100-400Ah. Is it safe/possible to use 24 - 510Ah 2v batteries with this?

Depending on your use case YES it is.

I am Off-the-Grid and run currently a singel MultiPlus-II 24/5000 on a 2940Ah battery, which give me roughly 5 days autonomy without ANY solar and wind power.

However, if the battery is once empty, I need a realy tough GenSet to charge this Dinosaur.

With ONLY ONE MultiPlus-II 24/5000 it take 36 hours to get the Batteries full again, hence I want to get a second MultiPlus-II and a bigger GenSet or use DC charging direct from a Yanmar Ship Diesel 35HP and a 280A Alternator. Oh, the Yanmar has a lower fuel consumption (less then the half) as a 6000kVA standard portable GenSet.

If you consider portable a genset of 6MVA, congratulation.

You can register any bodybuilding contests, you'll win all prizes xD
