A diagnosis very much depends upon what type of battery it is. What type of battery do you have under test?

The only thing to be sure is, to do a manual capacity test. The discharge rate depends on battery type. It is basically like, putting a defined load on a fully charged battery and measure the time until it reaches low voltage. A BMV can be very helpful to make this tests. Refer to the batteries datasheets, for discharge rates and voltages.

Yes, it should work, just in connecting the BMV relay output with the remote switch input of the Phoenix. You can program the relay in Victron Connect App, for opening at 50% SOC.
