Incorrect BYD battery charge with Quattro 48/5000/70-2x100

The Problem:

  • When AC loads => 2300W than BYD doesn't charge.
  • When AC loads = 1900W than BYD charges approximately with 300W.
  • When AC loads = 600W than BYD charges approximately with 1600W.

Also:

  • When change "optimized without BatteryLife" to "Keep batteries charged" there is current flow from battery to loads. And batteries don't charge.
  • Time to time I see "Recharge" as state of charge (but actually it is Bulk state).


What we have in system:

  • Quattro 48/5000/70-2x100 - 1pc (last firmware).
  • Venus GX - 1pc (last firmware).
  • BYD B-Box battery - 2.5kWh.


Additional was done:

  • We've turned off all loads with motors, inductive and capacitive.
  • Ambient temperature was in ranges: 23*C ... 30*C.
  • Quattro Input current limit = 25A
  • BYD Charge current limit = 35A
  • BYD Discharge current limit = 35A
  • ESS assistance - last update.
  • Also was installed previous firware for Venus GX, after - last version.
  • Was reinstalled firmware for Quattro.
  • BYD logs were read (all is fine with that).

Now it is in "Keep batteries charge" mode.

What is the intended/expected behaviour of this system?

Is it to be a backup in case of grid outage?

Hello

Yes, it is backup system in case of grid outage. Also there will be solar chargers.
I think the problem was found. The problem was in the BYD cell.
