Multiplus 3000va good enough for my 800ah bank with no solar and 300amp Brushless alternator?

Is the Multiplus 3000va a good option for a 800ah bank made of 2 400ah 12v server rack batteries?

Will not be running solar right away just charging from a 300amp brushless Alternator in my Semi truck (8-10hours normal driving times), with an isolator to disconnect the bank from my starter batteries 4x 100ah AGM.

and charging from 120v 7.5kw Generator ( I wanna build a bank big enough to never need to use the generator)

Typically, we size the inverter based on the max loads. You can calculate the watt-hours of your battery bank and that will tell you how long you can run your 3000va inverter at 100% load or 50% load, etc.

I guess the alternator is 12V DC output.

The Multiplus will not regulate this, it can only charge from AC. The output will pass through. And the alternator is on the large size for those batteries.

Assuming I downloaded the datasheet for the right model, it will charge at 120A from the generator. While this will work, you're not using much of the generator capacity.
