I want to place 4 12VDC 80mm case fans in the bay that houses the Multiplus. When the fan activates on the Multiplus I want the relay to close and the external fans to come on as well. When the fan stops I want the relay to open. Everyone keeps saying there is an assistant for that, but I don't know what that means or how to find them. I do have the MuliPlus connected to my laptop so I can program it. I also have a CCGX if that makes it easier?
download and install ve config
connect to the inverter using your MK3 device.
you can always delete the assistant if need be latter
Its a logic process so just use your own logic and work through it its quite intuitive but it will be a learning process to start with.
I have pasted a few screen shots so this should help you may have to add one for on and one for off.
this will then activate AUX1 by closing or opening it you then conect a relay to the aux 1 and that relay would drive the fan.
Or you can get a Victron trained tech to do it for you at you local victron support place
First turn off the Virtual switch
The fan system is only 6v DC. I was going to just connect split the +6v and use the relay to connect them. This little voltage should not hurt the system right?

Does the relay have any voltage capabilities?
Great posting! It would be more helpful if you could tell us:
Do we need the second relay programmed to turn fans off, or will turning off the inverter suffice?
Do we later turn the virtual switch back on?
