GuiMods installation error on VenusOS 3.00.39

@Kevin Windrem Is there more information needed to diagnose the issue? This is 3.00.36 to .39 upgrade.

Package Manager, SetupHelper, ShutdownMonitor, RpiDisplaySetup, RpiGpioSetup got upgraded with no apparent issues.

There is a new version of GuiMods (v7.47) that will fix this issue.

Does not seem to want to install. Is there a trick to it? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

v7.47 should be compatible with the latest beta (v3.00~38) and SOME of the previous betas, but you should be on the latest beta. Should not be an issue with the released version (v2.94) either.

Generally, this problem comes if something modifies one of the files the package needs to replace. If no match in the file sets can be found, the "incompatible" message shows up.

You can get details in the log files:

/data/log/SetupHelper

data/log/PackageManager/current

Try switching to backup firmware and installing the current release or release candidate again.

@Kevin Windrem your previous post you mention beta 3.00~38 but op is on current beta 3.00~39. was that a typo?

Unsure why installation via Package manager in the Settings menu failed. Looks like it was still looking at 7.46 package. Executing /data/GuiMods/setup from terminal did the trick. Couldn't find anything interesting in the logs other than repeated 7.46 installation attempts in spite of 7.47 being downloaded.
