Orion 12/30 - output voltage

Hello.

I am looking all over the community and the web trying to understand what is happening.

I have a Vanagon with a regular 70amp alternator. (attached to a brand new 75amp starter battery)

I have 2 greencell LifePo4 batteries connected in parallel (160Ah).

Installed Orion isolated 12/30.

When it is in Bulk charge it states the both input and output voltage are 13.5V

The settings showing that this is very close to shutdown voltage.

Does it mean that my alternator is not working properly?

should I change anything in my settings?

My battery say that charging voltage supposed to be 14.6.

please Help I need to know if:

1. I am damaging my batteries providing them with such a small charging voltage?

2. I can trust the system to really charge the batteries?

3. what to do?

I am Attaching screenshots of my configuration:

You need to set up the battery charging parameters in the Orion using Bluetooth with the Victron Connect app .

Please also give the full model name if you need more help.

Also, look carefully at the input connections to the Orion. It's easy to accumulate too much voltage drop between the alternator/starter battery and the Orion and it will reduce charging current or shut down due to this voltage drop.

Hi thank you for the response,

By looking carefully you mean that the connection are well snugged?

The distance between my starter battery and the victron is 2 meters an im using 16mm2 wires, the manual did not say that 2 meters is to far to install.

Please explain what's worrying you, and provide screen shots of the pages above and the first screen showing the input/output voltages.

I missed the reply.

The output voltage is at float, which indicates battery fully charged.

Absorption voltage can be increased to the battery spec, here 14.6V.

Input voltage readings are subject to alternator and so only really relevant to whether the charger turns on or not. Here it must be working.
