Victron Connect update

A new update of the app was received the other day. In the description I read:

-Switch to fully optional firmware updates: Settings will remain enabled while firmware update is available?

Can anyone explain what is meant by this?

Possible explanations:

1) Are updates now all fully optional? (Haven't some been optional and some mandatory and is this now changed?)

2) Are the settings enabled/possible to change despite an update being available? (Haven't they always been that?)

3) ?

I'm sorry but I haven't been that long in this technology so I might have missed something.

1) Yes

2) No. With a mandatory update it was not possible to get to the device settings (cog wheel). But perhaps you meant the app settings, but that's different.

3) What was the question again?

Actually 3) was to open for other possible explanations. But I guess you figured that out.
